Please take advantage of the online math book link posted under the "Math" section above. Students can access the our most current textbook used as a resource in class using the access code written in their assignment books. In addition to seeing and hearing the actual text book, there are games, a glossary, and a video library to support topics. Currently the information in Chapters 5 and 6 compliment the objectives being taught in class.
Students will have homework each evening, Monday through Thursday. There may be an occasional weekend assignment as well.
Continued review of basic multiplication and division facts is required. Although working on 5th grade objectives, students are being given grade 4's quarterly facts assessments to ensure those skills have been mastered. Families should have received results from the Grade 4 Quarter 1 Facts Assessment in Friday Folders (orange slip of paper attached to first graded written response). Students need 45 correct out of 50 multiplication and division facts to be considered proficient with each quarter's facts. Share Parent Preview. Share who your Math teacher is. "My Numbers" WS. Look in magazines, books, newspapers, or on the Internet (with parent permission) for numbers. Record clues about those numbers.
