SUNDAY EXPERIMENT: Elementary school students and their families are invited
to the Goddard Visitor Center on Sunday, September 19, from 1-3 p.m., for an intriguing look inside NASA engineering. Students will partake in hands-on activities and learn about NASA's revolutionary engineering and how it propels NASA's launches and missions. Eye-opening presentations will be held in the fascinating GeoDome and the Visitor Center Science on a Sphere presentation will provide insight to different aspects of science. This month's Sunday Experiment promises to excite young ones about science and engineering. This event is held the third Sunday of every month through May. As of today, fourth graders should now know who their math teacher will be for the start of the school year. Please remember, that we flexibly group our classes so it's possible that changes in math teacher could occur throughout the school year.
Ask what "The Big Picture" has to do with in Science! We began our first unit, today. This week has flown by! Ask your child what he or she told us about summer vacation. Have a wonderful, long holiday weekend. See you Tuesday!
Fourth graders attended assemblies yesterday and today introducing opportunities available to them for playing an instrument this year. Forms should be sent in as soon as possible so instrument teachers can organize their instructional groups.
